Boardwalk
The elegance of an Atlantic coast 1940s town
combined with great shopping, entertainment and restaurants.
Early morning and evening time are especially
nice. Just stroll around, eat at one of the many restaurants
there or sit
and watch the world go by.
The Boardwalk bakery does a really good Breakfast
Burrito and nice coffee plus a great selection of pastries.
Be aware though it can get very busy so there may be a queue.
Spoodles also open for breakfast and the fruit platter is fantastic
huge chunks of fresh melon (3 types) fresh pineapple and a
huge bunch of grapes.
It is near the Fantasia Mini Golf and the road
to it is opposite the back entrance to MGM (if you know where
that is). Take photo-id with you. No entrance fee and you can
see the Epcot fireworks from here.

- Narcoosees and Citricos at Disney's Grand

the Magic Kingdom fireworks
- Mediterranean Restaurant at the Gaylord Palms Hotel -
scrumptious buffet sitting in a rain forest with turtles, fish
and gators.

Hwy 192 and the I-4

Beer Lovers
If The Cricketers
Arms looks like a British pub, that's because it is:
it's an old English barn lifted beam-by-beam to Florida.
Top quality real ales like Fuller's London Pride and Ringwood
Old Thumper are served too cold for Brits and too warm for
Americans, but just right on average. In the Mercado, 8445
International Drive. Phone 407-354-0686.

Night-Time Entertainment
The general opinion seems to be that the dinner
shows are good entertainment with average food (except for
Disney's Polynesian and Dolly Partons.)
A lot of people prefer
Cirque de Soleil followed by dinner at the Rainforest Cafe,
though this will cost you a little more.
You can also get DISCOUNT tickets for
all these at park-tickets.com.

- CityWalk Hollywood
- Dinner Shows
- Sleuths

Fireworks at Disney
Two of the best view of "Wishes" from
a Disney hotel restaurant are from the California Grill in
The Contemporary Resort and Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian.
they are also quite expensive.
Good views of the fireworks
also from the beach at the Polynesian Resort and the Grand
Floridian.
Wonder Works
A review from one of our guests:
Magic Show at Wonderworks tonight, a great
family show. Endless Pizza and Pop Corn, and drinks. The show
was really great and good fun. Winter Park is lovely to visit, it is basically quaint shops
and lovely pavement cafes and restaurants all down one side
of a cobbled street and parkland on the other side of the
street. Some of the shops are most unusual and sell stuff
you will only see there. What is well worth the journey is
the boat trip on the lake there, the lake is to the right
of the shops and takes you through a few canals with a running
commentary on the surrounding buildings including how much
people paid for fantastic buildings, most fascinating. We
had a very comical commentator when we went and it was a
beautiful day so we took some great photos and had a good
laugh whilst catching some rays at the same time.
The easiest direction to Winter Park is to go up the I-4 towards
Orlando take the Fairbanks Avenue Exit then travel east for
2 miles, turn left into Park Avenue which is the said street.
The approach to Park Avenue looks very run down but it is a
nice surprise when you turn into Park Avenue.
